TradeLinkers is a small UK team making the app we wished existed when we were running our own jobs. No PE backing, no enterprise sales team. Just software that fits in a tool bag.
Three years of receipts, one weekend of code.
Our co‑founder Sam ran a two-van electrical outfit in Sheffield for six years. The CRM he tried to use cost £69 a month, had a thousand fields he didn't need, and missed the one thing he did need — adding a job from the van without three minutes of fiddling.
So in 2024 we started TradeLinkers as a proper, small, opinionated tool. Designed for one screen. One thumb. The bare minimum that runs a one- or two-van round, and nothing more.
We're now a team of four — two engineers, one designer, one part-time gas engineer who tells us when we've made something stupid. We launch fortnightly. We answer every email.

The job lives in the van
Desktop dashboards are an afterthought. The phone is the primary surface, because that's where the work actually happens. Every feature has to work one-handed in the rain.
Plain English over jargon
"Quote" not "Estimate document". "Customer" not "Contact entity". If a feature needs a tooltip to explain its name, the name is wrong.

One‑tap CSV export. No vendor lock-in, no tiered "pro export" paywall. If you ever want to leave, we'll help you get your data out cleanly.

Customers shape the roadmap. Every feature ships with a changelog, every email gets a real reply, and we publish what we're working on next. No black-box product team.
