Getting started

How do I get started?
Download TradeLinkers from Google Play, set up your trade name, your VAT number if you have one, and your bank details for invoicing. Two minutes and you can add your first job.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
No. Monthly rolling. Cancel from inside the app any time — and take your data with you when you go.
Do you do bigger company / multi-van rates?
Yes — get in touch via the contact form and tell us how many vans. We'll work something out.
Can I try before I commit?
Yes — install, set up your trade and add a few real jobs. If it doesn't fit how you work, uninstall and your data exports as CSV in one tap.

Devices & data

Which Android versions are supported?
Android 9 (Pie) and up. The app is around 24 MB. Works on every modern Samsung, Pixel, Motorola and Sony in active circulation.
iPhone / iPad version?
Not yet. We're focused on getting the Android app rock solid for the working trade. iOS is on the roadmap for late 2026 — drop us your email and we'll let you know when it's live.
Can I use it on a tablet?
Yes — the layout adapts on Android tablets. A lot of installers use a glovebox tablet for sign-off and bigger photos.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Cellars, plant rooms, deep rural — your edits queue locally and sync the moment you've got signal back. Nothing gets lost.
Will I lose my data if I uninstall?
No. Your data lives on our UK-hosted servers. Sign back in on a new phone and everything's there. You can also export everything as CSV at any time.

Features & workflow

Is this just for electricians?
No. The app's been shaped by feedback from electricians, plumbers, gas engineers, builders, locksmiths and a handful of multi-trade outfits. If you book in a job, do the work, and send an invoice — TradeLinkers fits.
Can I send invoices with my logo on?
Yes. Upload your logo in Settings and it goes on every PDF. VAT, payment terms and your bank details are auto-included.
Can I take card payments?
Not yet. We're integrating Stripe and SumUp through Q3 2026. For now, invoices include your bank details for transfer, and you can mark paid in one tap when the money lands.
Can a customer book themselves in?
Coming soon. The customer portal is shipping in late May — they'll get a link to view their invoices, see upcoming jobs and request reschedules.
Does it integrate with Xero / QuickBooks / FreeAgent?
CSV export works with all of them today. Native one-tap sync to Xero is in development — drop us a line if you want early access.

Privacy & legal

Is my customer data safe?
Yes — UK-hosted, GDPR compliant, encrypted at rest and in transit. We never sell or share customer data, ever. Read the full privacy policy →
Where is data stored?
In the UK. Our hosting provider's primary region is London, with encrypted backups in a second UK region.
Do you train AI on my data?
No. We don't sell, share or use customer data to train any model. Full stop.
How do I close my account?
Settings → Close account. We'll confirm before deleting anything irreversible. Your data is wiped within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain (UK accounting law, currently 6 years).
